Kolektor sETup (SETUP), an independent energy aggregator and one of partner in the ECOLOOP project, is advancing the digitalisation and optimisation of energy asset portfolios in Slovenia, paving the way for smarter energy systems and improved regional energy resilience.
As part of ECOLOOP, SETUP is developing an advanced optimisation model tailored to Biomasa’s energy portfolio to unlock new market opportunities and enhance operational efficiency. The focus is twofold: to create a robust scheduling model for all energy assets within Biomasa’s portfolio and to identify those best suited for providing ancillary services, such as frequency regulation and grid support. These efforts are expected to boost both unlocking new monetization opportunities and the security of local heat and electricity supply.
Over the past eight months, SETUP and Biomasa have been working closely to implement the digital Biomasa’s energy portfolio on SETUP’s platform. This digital model serves as the foundation for detailed simulations that will emulate real-world operations.
The next step? Running optimisation scenarios to test how Biomasa’s portfolio can be leveraged for greater monetisation and increased energy resilience.
